Where it all began
Back in the 1960s, the men's coiffeur Robert Rosenberger opened his salon at Stampfenbachstrasse 14, in Kreis 1 near Central. For nearly forty years he cut hair and shaped beards here — long before anyone in this country said the word “barber.”
It was a place only for men: somewhere to lean back, relax, and forget the hurry of the city outside. That charm never left the room. The partly original 1950s fittings still give the feeling that here, time simply stopped.
In 2024 the shop was carefully renovated — a better lighting concept for the barbers' ever-higher standards, and a fresh coat of paint. The furniture is the same as sixty years ago. Only brighter.
The drinks bar pours everything a man's heart could want — from the finest illy espresso to a whisky, a vodka or a cold beer. And the products? Only the best, from suppliers all over the world.
